Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous Oxide is a sweet-smelling, colorless gas that is non-irritating to most people. It has been the primary means of sedation in dentistry for many years. The wonderful thing about Nitrous (Laughing Gas) is that it allows the patient to breathe on their own and remain in control of all their body functions. The doctor is in control of the depth of the sedation, so it can be altered at any time.  Nitrous Oxide is also a wonderful aid in helping a patient relax.
